A Fun Weekend

My mom came from North Carolina for the weekend to see my first violin recital (it's a good story, but a long one). Jenny and the kids also came down from Cincinnati. Then we all went to cheer for James on Saturday morning when he ran in the Derby week Mini Marathon.

Grandma and the grandkids

A little fuzzy, but this is my recital

Grandma Kathy with Ruth, Annie & Cousins Sam & Leah. Grandma found them a good place to watch the runners come in. Waiting for James...

James about to cross the finish. He made great time! 13 miles in 1 hr. 33 min. We think his final stats were 7th in his age division out of 591, and 146th out of 9,399 overall. We had a lot of fun cheering for him.

Notice the newspaper stands - couldn't pass it up, the kids just happened to be sitting there...
Maya and Sam, "Priceless"... Leah, "Free"

Grandma Kathy gave Henry his first taste of Derby Pie... which he liked very much.
